What we do with your information

This page explains what happens to your information when you use eastern-sunshine-cuisine.com. It is short because there is not much to tell.

The short version

We do not track you. There is no analytics on this site, no advertising, no pixels, and we set no cookies of our own. Most pages ask nothing of you at all.

The one place we collect anything is the job application form on the Careers page, and only if you choose to fill it in.

If you apply for a job

The form asks for your name, a phone number, and the position you want. Those three are required. You can also tell us your email address, the earliest date you could start, whether you want full or part time, when you are available, anything about your experience, and whether you are 18 or older.

When you press send, it comes to our careers mailbox as an email. We read it and we call you. That is the whole of it.

We do not keep applications in a database, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share what you send with anyone. We use it only to talk to you about working here.

One exception worth naming: if our mail system fails to accept your application, our host records your name, phone number and the role you applied for in an error log, so we can still get back to you. Nothing else you typed is written to a log.

What your browser loads from other companies

Three outside services see that you visited, because of things this site uses. None of them are advertising networks, and none of them receive what you type into the form.

Google Fonts — on every page. The typefaces are served by Google, so Google receives your IP address, your browser's user-agent, and the fact that you were on this site.

Google Maps — on the Hours & Location page only. The map is embedded from Google, so the same applies there, and Google may set its own cookies inside that map.

Cloudflare Turnstile — on the Careers page only. This is the check that tells a real person from an automated script, so that the application form cannot be flooded by bots. It runs in the background and does not ask you to do anything. To work it looks at signals from your browser, and when you send the form your IP address goes to Cloudflare so it can confirm the check. Cloudflare sets out what it collects — client IP address, TLS fingerprint, user-agent and the site it was used on — in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum. Turnstile does not see what you typed into the form.

Cookies and browser storage

Eastern Sunshine Cuisine sets no cookies of its own on this site.

If we are running a promotional banner and you close it, your own browser remembers which one you closed so it stays closed. That is kept on your device, is never sent to us, and clearing your browsing data removes it.

Google Maps and Cloudflare Turnstile are other companies' code and may set their own cookies, on the two pages named above.

Where the site is hosted

The site runs on Cloudflare. As with any web host, Cloudflare handles the requests your browser makes and keeps its own standard records of them.

How long we keep applications

Applications stay in our email inbox while we are hiring for that role. If you would rather we deleted yours, just ask and we will.

Children

This site is meant for adults looking for work or a place to eat. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
